Did you know that stress is actually normal? It’s the way we deal with stress that’s important. Every week, Melanie McCall, founder of Wootton Park Wellness Retreats, offers a Mindfulness Tip. This week, she is discussing Stress Management during lockdown.
2020 hasn’t been an easy year for most of us. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic and recent announcement of Lockdown Part 2, will undoubtedly see anxiety and stress levels rising across the country.
Uncertainty is all around us at the moment but the reality is that none of us have any real control over these problems. However, what you do have control over is how you react, deal and cope with stress.
The following Mindfulness Tip – Stress Management During Lockdown – shows how you can learn to take a step back from a stressful situation. It may sound easy, too easy in fact but give the breathing techniques demonstrated a go and see for yourself. If you manage stress when it first manifests, you will be better able to cope with even bigger issues and more stress, if and when it arises.
It may seem hard to believe but stress is normal and something we all experience throughout our lives. The only way to manage stress is to recognise the signs and take action before it becomes unmanageable. So important as we all enter another lockdown period.
Take care, be kind to yourself, keep well, stay safe and sane!
