On a crisp winter morning, ten guests arrived for a carefully curated two-day Wellbeing and Business Planning Retreat.
The tranquil surroundings of the Farmhouse provided an idyllic backdrop, as the group settled in and enjoyed a nourishing breakfast to begin their experience.
The day unfolded with a series of activities aimed at restoring balance and fostering mindfulness. The morning began with yoga in the Yurt, led by The Rugby Yogi. Anthony’s calming presence helped participants unwind and centre themselves. This was followed by a guided mindful walk and Forest Bathing session with accredited Forest Bathing Practitioner, Mandy. During the activity, the group were invited to connect with nature and find clarity amidst the peaceful woodland.
After a healthy, homemade lunch, the group enjoyed a light-hearted moment feeding the animals, adding a playful touch to their day. The afternoon’s focus shifted to workplace wellbeing, with an engaging workshop led by Wellbeing Coach, Jon Burgess. This interactive session offered practical insights and strategies for fostering resilience, sleep management and balance in a professional setting.
Later, the group gathered around a fire for a poignant ceremony, symbolically letting go of challenges before transitioning to a meditation that encouraged them to set fresh intentions. The structured activities concluded in time for the guests to relax and prepare for the evening ahead.
Pre-dinner drinks were served at the Farmhouse, followed by a delicious three-course meal, prepared and served by talented chef Scratch Cook Social. As the evening progressed, the group enjoyed the freedom to relax and connect in the cosy communal spaces, reflecting on the day’s experiences.
The team stayed in our beautiful ensuite bedrooms and quirky Glamping Pods, for a restorative night’s sleep. The following morning began with a hearty breakfast, before the group reconvened in the Yurt, transformed into a boardroom-style space. They spent the day taking part in focused meetings and collaborative work. The setting provided everything needed for productivity, including a projector, screen, and flipchart, while the ambiance of the Yurt inspired creativity and connection.
Lunch was served at the Farmhouse, finishing with cakes and bakes in the Yurt, to sustain the team through the afternoon. The group departed feeling rejuvenated and equipped with new tools, to support their wellbeing and professional goals.
This Corporate Retreat exemplified how stepping away from the demands of daily life can recharge both individuals and teams, creating space for reflection, growth, and connection.
