The hospitality industry has not had an easy time these last few years, so we were thrilled be approached by the Solihull area Team Leader. She wanted to bring a group of 12 Restaurant Managers to us for the day. This was a little outside their comfort zone but everyone was up for trying something new.
A healthy breakfast was followed by a wonderful Tai Chi/Qigong session. We then guided the team on a Mindful Walk and Forest Bathing session. As we commonly find, they were not familiar with this term and our accredited Forest Bathing Expert was able to explain more about this practice. Originating from Japan, the many health benefits of spending time amongst trees has now been scientifically proven health.
After lunch, we called upon Clinical Hypnotherapist Louise Squires to run a two-hour in person Workshop. Louise discussed the topic of brain training to build resilience and wellbeing. This enables you to become more focused, creative, productive and happier, both at work and at home. A really worthwhile session for these extremely busy Restaurant Managers. They were also able to take away useful techniques, to help them turn negative thinking into positive thinking.
A hilarious Laughter Yoga session followed and yes, they were all howling by the end! A relaxing meditation to set a new intention (having let go of something during the Dove Release) and homemade cakes closed the day. The team left filled with positive thoughts and full bellies.
